Job Description – Associate Partnerships Manager

Travel Partnerships and Advertising (TPA) helps partners, including hotels, airlines, vacation rental hosts, insurance companies, and more, deliver excellent traveler and B2B experiences. We drive growth for our partners and the Expedia Group marketplace through competitive supply, our leading advertising and travel media network and affiliate solutions.

Within TPA, the InsurTech Commercial team plays a vital role in building, maintaining, and optimizing relationships with our travel insurance and fintech supply partners. As an Associate Partnerships Manager, you will oversee a segment of our strategic partnership portfolio, drive performance, and support the execution of key initiatives. You’ll cultivate key partner relationships, act as a trusted advisor, and align partner roadmaps with our InsurTech priorities. This role requires solving complex challenges, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring seamless, high-impact launches across both B2C and B2B channels.
In This Role, You Will:
- Own and grow a segment of our strategic partnership portfolio, serving as a trusted advisor to supply partners.
- Guide alignment of partner roadmaps with InsurTech priorities, and drive the successful, timely delivery of high-impact initiatives
- Take ownership of partner problems and challenges, leading and driving both internal and external solutions to optimize partnerships and unlock business value
- Drive end-to-end supply partner management, including opportunity exploration, performance tracking (e.g., NPS, attach rate, claims, profitability), process optimization (SOPs, SLAs, dashboards), issue resolution (technical, regulatory, compliance, customer), and business reviews (MBRs, QBRs)
- Find opportunities to collaborate across a range of internal teams (Product, Tech/Program Mgmt, Legal, Analytics, Actuarial / Data Science, Finance/Acctg, and Customer Experience) in North America, Europe, and APAC
- Serve as a bridge and liaison between internal teams and our external supply partners
- Drive key analysis, charts, and slides for business reporting as needed for broader leadership team updates Support aspects of the contract negotiation process for new and existing partnerships
- Seek out and share knowledge of new industry developments and shifts in the competitive landscape
- Report directly to the Director, Supply Strategy & Partnerships, InsurTech Commercial team
Experience and qualifications:
- You have 0-3 years of experience in management consulting, partnership management, strategic account management, and/or program management
- You have a proven track record of thinking strategically, using sound business judgment, and driving exceptional business results with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute complex strategic growth plans
- You naturally build relationships and possess expert-level interpersonal and communication skills that allow you to rapidly earn trust and establish yourself as a trusted advisor across diverse internal and external stakeholders
- You are biased toward action with a voracious get-it-done attitude, even in the face of ambiguity
- You have superior analytical skills and drive fact-based problem solving
- You analyze business performance and inform data-driven decision making and recommendations
- You possess executive presence with gravitas and credibility to engage confidently with senior executives, representing the organization with professionalism
- You focus on execution, displaying superior discipline, attention to detail, organization, time management and prioritization skills
- You operate with flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, and collaborative environment
- You are a wiz in Excel and PowerPoint, and have the ability to learn new business tools, like Tableau and Jira
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
