Introduction to the team

Our Attach team plays a critical role in completing the traveler journey—helping customers effortlessly discover and book complementary products such as cars, activities, and ground transportation after their initial reservation. These attach experiences deepen traveler engagement, grow multi-item trips, and unlock meaningful business impact across our brands.

As a Mobile Engineer II, iOS, you’ll join a collaborative and fast-moving team that builds and maintains the mobile experiences enabling attach across Expedia Group brands. You’ll work with Swift and SwiftUI to deliver intuitive, high-quality features used by millions of travelers around the world. This is an opportunity to shape the future of connected travel experiences while working alongside talented engineers, designers, and product managers.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and maintain engaging, high-performance iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including product, design, and backend engineers—to deliver cohesive and scalable traveler experiences

  • Integrate mobile applications with backend services built primarily in Java, ensuring smooth, reliable data flow

  • Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design sessions to ensure best practices and maintainability

  • Contribute to CI/CD improvements, automated testing, and performance optimization for mobile applications

  • Identify and implement technical improvements that enhance reliability, accessibility, and customer satisfaction

  • Stay current with iOS development trends and help guide adoption of new technologies and frameworks.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience

  • 2+ years of professional experience developing and shipping iOS applications using Swift

  • Solid understanding of iOS frameworks, architecture patterns (such as MVVM), and SwiftUI

  • Experience with RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, and mobile networking.

  • Proficient in version control (Git) and working within collaborative, agile environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing and releasing apps at scale, with familiarity in app store submission and deployment processes

  • Exposure to or hands-on experience with backend technologies such as Java, Kotlin, or Node.js

  • Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) systems and mobile testing frameworks

  • Strong understanding of performance tuning, accessibility, and analytics for mobile apps

  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively across disciplines to deliver customer-focused features

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for improving the traveler experience

  • Enthusiasm for experimentation, learning, and building great products in a collaborative environment

No relocation assistance offered - Please note that this role is only available in Seattle, WA in alignment with our flexible work model which requires employees to be in-office at least three days a week. We are unable to offer relocation assistance for this role.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $112,000.00 to $156,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $179,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
