Technical Product Manager - People Technology, Total Rewards

Please note this role is based in Seattle and follows our flexible work model, requiring a minimum of three in-office days per week.

Expedia Group is seeking a strategic and driven Technical Product Manager to lead Total Reward (Pay, Compensation, & Benefits) technology initiatives within the HR Technology organization. This role is ideal for a seasoned product leader with a strong background in recruiting or recruiting operations, who thrives in ambiguity and is passionate about transforming complex challenges into scalable, high-impact solutions.

As a Technical Product Manager focused on Total Rewards, you will play a critical role in leading agile delivery teams to build and enhance technology solutions that support compensation, benefits, and payroll. You will work in close partnership with the Senior Product Manager and Total Rewards leadership to prioritize work, define requirements, and deliver innovative solutions that meet user needs and business goals.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead agile squads in the delivery of enhancements and new capabilities across Workday Advanced Compensation and Payroll modules.
  • Collaborate with Total Rewards, Payroll, and Benefits stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into actionable product requirements.
  • Partner with the Senior Product Manager to align backlog priorities with strategic objectives and annual planning cycles.
  • Drive iterative solution design and delivery, ensuring usability, scalability, and compliance with global regulations.
  • Support integrations with third-party vendors such as CloudPay and benefits providers, ensuring seamless data flow and operational efficiency.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies, backlog grooming, and sprint planning to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Monitor product performance and user feedback to inform continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Work closely with People Analytics and Data Engineering teams to ensure compensation and payroll data is accurate, accessible, and supports decision-making.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in HR technology or enterprise systems product management, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Workday Advanced Compensation and Payroll.
  • Experience with CloudPay or other global payroll platforms is a strong plus.
  • Deep understanding of compensation planning, payroll operations, and benefits administration processes.
  • Skilled in agile methodologies and leading cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable navigating complex, matrixed environments and driving alignment across diverse teams.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $137,500.00 to $192,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $220,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
