Senior Strategic Initiatives Manager

Expedia Group, worldwide leader in online travel, is looking for a Senior Strategic Initiatives Manager for its Geos team, reporting into the Sr. Director of Geo Strategy and Delivery. You will be based in Seattle.

The Geos team is part of the Expedia Group Brands team. We are the voice of the Expedia customer, wherever they are from, into the Expedia Group. We champion our customers locally, on a global scale, and help shape the company’s investment and product priorities to ensure we serve their needs. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and results-driven leader in driving growth and scale at Expedia.

What you'll do:

  • Provide structure and coordinate efforts across our four main operating regional teams across the globe

  • Communicate our geo strategy, top market priorities, and performance updates to key partners across the organization

  • Engage with senior leaders across the organization to ensure the right organizational focus across the relevant markets

  • Be a key driver of the geo delivery workstreams for the Expedia Brands organization, and ensure alignment and delivery schedules with brand leaders and the Expedia for Business teams to embed in business execution

  • Develop and maintain the Geo market execution framework (operating model), with a constant eye on opportunities to improve operational efficiencies and remove roadblocks

  • Work across regional teams to drive best practices and ensure consistency on team operations, initiative tracking, and delivery status

  • Drive strategic projects with teams across the globe and act as the strategy lead or program manager on strategic workstreams key to unlock growth in regional markets

  • Manage the annual country planning process with the regional leaders and inform the development of a reporting scorecard to track progress at a market level

Who you are:

  • 8 to 10 years' of experience in a strategy or management consultant role, with increased responsibility and complexity

  • Have strong influential leadership and can develop meaningful relationships with stakeholders at different seniority levels and based in various geographies

  • Friendly, mature, fearless, transparent, meticulous and a self-starter

  • Have sound presentation and communication skills

  • Can articulate compelling recommendations for complex problems, driven by logic and data

  • Have advanced analytical skills, learn quickly and simplify complexity

  • Have an action bias and have a demonstrated track record of navigating and driving results in a large and global organization

  • Possess a strong understanding of business, market dynamics, and consumer research

  • Never lose sight of what is meaningful

  • Have multicultural work experience
