As a design director you are driven by leading and managing teams to simplify the complex. With human-centered design at the helm, driven by state-of-the-art artificial intelligence, we need your expertise to bring it to the next level. We are revolutionizing our Communication Platform at scale while developing a holistic experience that includes our conversational platform capabilities.
What you’ll do:
-Drive best practices for problem framing and synthesis of customer and business insights
-Practice, drive, and teach exemplary visual and interaction design practice and hold the design organization accountable to deliver high-quality experiences
-Provide guidance when evaluating the impacts of a solution to ensure linkages between structure, process, and technology
-Guide the team to develop and adapt design processes that facilitate high-quality design work
-Identify both qualitative and quantitative insights of customer research and data and business analytics to drive design solutions
-Guide the team and partners to remain focused on customer issues
-Use storytelling and persuasion to create materials that connect vision, strategy, and action plans at the organizational level
-Promote a culture of constructive design critique
-Place individuals in roles and assignments that contribute to their personal and career development
-Hold yourself and your team accountable for setting and meeting organizational objectives with success measured by the impact to our traveler experience
-Identify and resolve issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
-Help team members identify and build key relationships and networks inside and outside the organization
Who you are:
-Bachelors in Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience or related Design field or equivalent related professional experience
-Experience in leadership and management of a team in a multidisciplinary UX environment
-Track-record of hiring the brightest and most creative product designers
-Understand user experience design, research, and content strategy processes and practice to a level that enables strong collaboration with product and technology peers
-Subject matter expert and thought leader ideally in both conversational and communication experiences through all channels and input types
