On December 19th, 2023, the 2023 Taiwan LGBTIQ+ Inclusive Workplace Index recognized Expedia Group Taiwan as one of the 47 certified Taiwan LGBTIQ+ Inclusive Workplaces! This prestigious honor shines a light on our unwavering commitment to fostering a diverse and open culture.

Since 2019, Expedia Group’s Taiwan office has actively championed LGBTIQ+ rights through impactful initiatives. From educational workshops promoting understanding, to vibrant celebrations fostering community, our 11 events in four years have provided platforms for employee engagement and LGBTIQ+ visibility. Beyond the office walls, Expedia Group Taiwan stoof shoulder-to-shoulder with the community by leading Pride parades yearly, and actively showing our support for LGBTIQ+ rights and inclusivity. Furthermore, we’ve expanded our impact by collaborating with the Hotels.com brand team to promote a “LGBTIQ+ Friendly Properties” tag for travelers – ensuring safe and welcoming options for everyone.

This recognition fuels our drive to be a catalyst for change. We know that over 60% of employees consider a company’s gender-friendly atmosphere crucial for retention, and we’re committed to ensuring Expedians feels valued and respected. Additionally, with more individuals feeling comfortable openly embracing their LGBTIQ+ identity, we’re building a more inclusive future for all.
