Data Science, Analytics

Finance
We are responsible for financial planning, accounting, audit & compliance, taxes, real estate, and our relationship with the financial community. We are “numbers specialists” with a passion for understanding how businesses make money, whilst identifying ways to improve.
Machine Learning Science
We power some of the most essential website features on Expedia Group sites and develop machine learning models that influence personalized experiences based on consumer behavior. Our teams also develop state-of-the-art algorithms for various aspects of our highly complex global marketing campaigns, as well as build and optimize machine learning models that detect fraud.
Marketing
We drive the global brand expression for all Expedia Group brands across all traveler-facing channels and platforms. We take on impactful projects and initiatives driving world-class marketing strategies in the travel industry.

We use strategic vision to drive products through design and development, collaborate across teams, and create customer experience that is second to none.

As an intern at Expedia Group, you’ll engage with the company at a local and global level. Over the summer, you’ll be part of an inclusive community while you gain an inside look at life at Expedia Group. You’ll engage with colleagues through Inclusion Business Groups, speak directly with our leaders, present on your findings, and build valuable professional skills and relationships. By joining us as an apprentice, you’ll take a valuable step in your career journey. Our Apprenticeship Program offers a hands-on way for you to grow your professional expertise through practical work experience. You will spend about 80% of your time working on one of our technical teams and 20% of your time studying with our external training provider.
We’ll offer one-on-one support as you incorporate what you’ve learned on real-life travel technology projects. You’ll sharpen your technical abilities and update your skill set to progress in your role as a highly valued member of the Expedia Group team.

Military placements connect transitioning military service members with civilian employment opportunities, leveraging their unique skills and providing participants and employers a chance to assess compatibility. Service leavers join teams across the organization in short-term placements, contributing to day-to-day deliverables with defined goals. Support is provided by their manager, navigator, dedicated VETS IBG mentor and our regional external partners, Hiring our Heroes and the Career Transition Partnership. At the conclusion of the placement, we aim to provide access to full-time employment opportunities.

What can you expect from our application process?

Step 1 - Application
Connect with us at career fairs, events, or visit our website, where you will decide on a role and submit your application. Our dedicated emerging talent & careers team will review your application and suitable applicants will be encouraged to complete both an immersive strength-based online assessment and a skills-based assessment.

Step 2 - Interview
Candidates who are invited to a final round interview will have the opportunity to meet with members of our team through two virtual interviews covering both specialized and behavioral skills related to the position. These interviews will also be a chance for you to learn more about us, too!

Step 3 - Offer!
Your recruiter will reach out to notify you of a hiring decision and hopefully your offer! They will share next steps.
